OA Support will use this thread to communicate:
- Important updates throughout the audition process.
- The names of those who are accepted into Round 2 (video interview).
- The names of those who are accepted into the class.
Our work study, Ejiwa Ebenebe (“Edge” to her friends), Jeff Morris (OA Support Ninja) and I will keep you updated throughout the process.

May 1, 2015 at 10:37 AM #12545IMPORTANT NOTES FROM CHRIS:
- This is the AUDITIONS thread, NOT the forum thread for the actual course.
When you visit the forums, scroll all the way down to the “Auditions” section in order to check this thread. If you are accepted into the course, you will be able to access the course thread. - The Magic Box migration is incomplete.
If you are enrolled in The Magic Box, you will not be able to access your Magic Box content on this site. We will let you know as soon as we are able to begin moving Boxers to this site. Until then, you will be able to access your Magic Box content at the old site: http://ChrisOatley.com/secretlab/ - Please use this thread for communication whenever possible.
If you need to email us, please email support@chrisoatley.com. Do not email Sarah directly about your audition or any technical aspects of this course. If you email me personally, there is no guarantee that I will see it. …which is why we have this amazing support team! - As you know, Sarah is in extremely high demand.
But there are many, MANY artists who are interested in working with her. In order to create the most effective educational environment possible, we accept only a small group of students into each course. If you are not accepted this time, we encourage you to try again. In the meantime, you might want to make sure you’re avoiding the audition dealbreakers.

June 1, 2015 at 10:53 PM #20489Wow… 3 pieces. What kind of things are the types of things to keep in mind when choosing what to submit? I have some pieces that show emotion better and some that show character design better and some that are a little better at environment and lighting…
June 3, 2015 at 4:52 AM #20684Hi Vicent!
I think the easy answer is: go with your heart.
If you say you have a piece that shoes emotion better, another for character design, and other that is for environment… then you have your 3 pieces.
Try and pick your absolute best 3. 🙂
Good luck!!
June 20, 2015 at 10:34 AM #24242Oh my!
Is there any chance to change one of the illustrations I submitted? I just included environment and one emotional but none with character design. 🙁
